A Grand Slam for San Tan Valley: First Pitch Athletics' Free Baseball Training is a Hit for All Ages

The heart of San Tan Valley is beating in rhythm with the crack of a bat and the joyous cheer of a home run. A local group, known as First Pitch Athletics, has stepped up to the plate to create an extraordinary opportunity for sports enthusiasts of all ages and levels of experience in our community.

At the helm is Josh McDevitt, whose vision for First Pitch Athletics extends beyond the conventional boundaries of a sports training organization. This enthusiastic team is offering top-notch baseball training at absolutely NO COST. That's right! As rare as an unassisted triple play, free baseball training is happening right here in our own backyard.

"We believe it's super important to have access to no-cost training," McDevitt passionately shares. First Pitch Athletics is hosting its training sessions every Saturday morning at 7:30 am, at the lovely location of Castlegate, just off Ocotillo and Schnepf.

With First Pitch Athletics, baseball is not just a sport; it's a community event. Ensuring that all participants are taken care of, they provide shade, snacks, and drinks, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved. There's a distinct air of camaraderie and community spirit that makes these training sessions feel like a slice of the big leagues, right here in San Tan Valley.

Perhaps the most unique feature of this initiative is its inclusive nature. "Open to all ages," says McDevitt. Whether you're 7 or 70, a curious novice, a rusty returner, or a seasoned player, First Pitch Athletics' diamond is your field. The typical sessions run for about an hour and a half and as the program expands, the playtime will also increase, keeping the spirit of baseball alive and thriving.

In return for this spectacular opportunity, First Pitch Athletics asks for a simple favor: share their page and help them grow their reach. Just like how a great play ignites excitement in a stadium, your support can spark enthusiasm throughout our digital community.

So, whether you dream of hitting a grand slam at Chase Field, or you're simply drawn to the charm and camaraderie of the game, make a point to join First Pitch Athletics this Saturday morning. Not only will you be supporting a wonderful local organization, but you'll also find yourself immersed in the warm, inclusive spirit that makes San Tan Valley such an extraordinary place to call home.

Thank you, First Pitch Athletics, for reminding us that the love for baseball has no age limit, and for bringing this wonderful game to our community in such an accessible and exciting way.
